Stone Oak Dance Company
The Stone Oak Dance Company is the Stone Oak Dance Academy (SODA) competitive team. Stone Oak Dance Company is a Competition Team made up of talented students who love to dance and want to be a part of an elite group of dedicated individuals. The SODA Company is about motivating young minds to be the best that they can be. This special program is designed for dancers who strive to accomplish an advanced level of training. But it is not just a dance education; it’s a total education. Team dancers learn life skills through performances, attending unique workshops, working as a team and so much more. Our director, Mrs. Kelsea, believes that being involved in competitive dance develops positive self-esteem, confidence, accountability, and leadership in young dancers. SODA offers teams for ages 5 & up in a variety of styles and levels. The ages listed below are a general guideline. Dancers are placed on teams at tryouts based on ability, skill level, and execution. Kinder & Petite Company are by invitation only.
Kinder Company
Ages 5-6
Kinder Company will compete one team tap routine at competition.
Petite Company
Ages 6-7
Petite Company will compete one team tap & one team hip hop routine at
competition.
Mini Company Ages
7-9
Mini Company dancers will have the option to try out for our jazz team, tap
team, acro team, and/or hip hop crew.
Kinder Petite, & Mini Companies have one team that competes at the beginner level.
Junior Company
Ages 9-11, Pre-Teen Company Ages 11-13, Teen Company Ages 12-14
Junior-TeenCompany dancers will have the option to try out for our
jazz team, tap team, contemporary team, acro team, and/or hip hop crew.Junior,
Pre-Teen, & Teen Companies have two teams. One team competes at the
beginner level and one team competes at the intermediate level.
Senior Company
Ages 13-15
Senior Company dancers will have the option to try out for our jazz team,
tap team, contemporary team, acro team, and/or hip hop crew. Senior Company has
one team that competes at the intermediate level.
Elite Company Ages
15 & Up
Elite Company dancers will have the option to try out for our jazz team,
tap team, contemporary team, acro team, and/or hip hop crew.Elite
Company has one team that competes at the advanced level.
Tryouts for the upcoming 2024-2025 season will be held July 8-18, 2024.
Teen-Elite Company tryouts July 8-11, 2024
Mini-Pre-Teen Company tryouts July 15-18, 2024
Result packets will be available for pickup Friday, July 19, 2024.
